Concieved as an idea to capture video of D'Branch doing his Internet radio show and putting it on his LSIMusic website, Pettis Hartfield and Robert Greene (D'Branch) thought this could be much bigger than what they imagined.
Frustrated by the lack of positive media and the flood of negative material shown on TV, news broadcast etc. they decided to create their own Internet TV Network to find and broadcast more positive news, media, people and events happening in an around the Dallas-Ft.Worth communities. So Pettis and D'Branch formulated their vision of broadcasting positive media an set out to make it a reality.
With combined backgrounds in Web Design/Internet technology, music, radio, promotions and media they started DFDUBLIVE TV. On a shoestring budget coming out of their own pockets they built a website, purchased a Sony digital video camera, video editing software, tripod and tapes, they hit the streets of Dallas Metroplex looking for positive people, events and things in the community getting it on camera and broadcasting it on their website.
Rather than just settle for working behind the camera Pettis and D'Branch began hosting their own show playing positive, and holy-hip-hop music videos in between their crazy on camera antics and signature twisted hair styles, trying to appeal to their audience to step up and help out their community. But this dynamic duo wasn't done they wanted to expand the lineup of shows on DFDUBLIVE TV, so they teamed up with local radio (KHVN Heaven 97) co-host and minister Johnnie Sanders to do a talk show called "Real Talk with J.B.Sanders"; While Johnnie hosted and interviewed guests such as authors (Debra Hill), business people, musicians (Coffey Anderson), radio personalites, other ministers and more..... Pettis and D'Branch worked the cameras, lighting and directed the show.
Officially launched in October 2006 with a website, camera, no budget and a vision Pettis and D'Branch have taken DFDUBLIVE to another level, wanting to improve the quality of delivery to their viewers they found and partnered with a large media provider to give them the flexibility to expand their network of channels, more bandwidth, and the speed to deliver higher quality shows to their audience. They've appeared in GXL Magazine and have shows syndicated on numerous video sites such as YouTube, Veoh, Broadcaster and MySpace
Being tactful and dynamic DFDUBLIVE TV is constantly changing and improving everything thing from the website to the format of their shows, marketing and promoting. Future plans are in the works to improve the website, offer contest to viewers, allow viewers to vote on shows, a viewer network community, allow viewers to upload shows and more to come.
