Block Party - What Do You Think?

Hey my peeps I wanted to start a blog about this idea I've been thinking of to do a block party to raise money for a good cause. I was thinking about a summer time block party with music, games, food, prize giveaways etc... and proceeds can go to help out some community organization, outreach program etc. We can get local businesses to sponsor and they can setup tables/booth to market their products or services. I just don't know where to start and how to get it organized. Ok now its time for the ideas to come in I know theres probably a millions things that you have to think of and get organized (Police, Location, Promoting the event etc....) So I appreciate any feedback that anyone has or if you have skills or know someone that can help with this let me know on this blog or email me pettish@dfdublive.com.
